Cathleen was born and raised in the beautiful Miramichi region of New Brunswick where her interest in art was inspired by her father, a local landscape artist.
She studied art while living in the United States from 1974 to 1980 attending Cerritos College in Norwalk, California and Central Piedmont CC in Charlotte, North Carolina. Those studies included Freehand Drawing, Life Drawing, Two Dimensional Design, Printmaking and Art History.
Cathleen works in a variety of mediums including oils, watercolors, pastels,
pencil and pen & ink.
A partial of one of her oil paintings, Casting Spells,
graces the cover of River Poems,
a book by local poet & author Doug Underhill.
She also penned the humorous illustrations for his book,
Miramichi Fishing Stories...All true of course!
As a member of the Miramichi Art Corps, a selection of her artwork is now on exhibit at
